Flow-volume loops, FEV1 / FVC / PEF, ATS/ERS acceptability, BTPS correction and clean PDF reporting - for the clinic, occupational health, and the bench.
SpiroWright runs on your AME / IQTeQ sensor and turns it into a 21st-century instrument - AI interpretation, ATS/ERS-graded reporting, and analytics built for how medicine works today. Same hardware. Software in a different league.

From private clinics and wellness centres to occupational-health programmes - clinical-grade spirometry for the teams and patients of South Africa.

SpiroWright turns the signal from a pneumotachograph into acceptable, repeatable manoeuvres and the numbers a clinician reads - FVC and its derivatives, flow-volume and volume-time curves, predicted values, and a clean report. Built on a Wright/Fleisch hybrid pneumotach with bidirectional flow handling, drift compensation, and 3-litre syringe calibration.
Built by R. E. Wright and R. Wright - 70 years' combined experience in spirometry, founders of IQTeQ and AME.

For doctors and occupational-health practitioners. Create an account and verify your email to download - you start with 1000 free tokens (each test uses 50). Top up whenever you need more.

Pay securely with PayFast. Tokens never expire. One test uses 50 tokens.
Encrypted checkout via PayFast - AME never sees your card details. You can also buy tokens inside the SpiroWright app.
Built for the South African clinic - SAMA procedure codes + ICD-10 suggestions (verify against your scheme), GLI ethnicity modules, HIV / TB / pack-year patient fields, and offline-first local records.
SpiroWright runs on the AME / IQTeQ pressure-pneumotach sensor over USB - clinical-grade measurement on any Windows PC.

Every value is graded to ATS/ERS before it prints - and saved to the patient record.

Every verified account starts with 1000 tokens - around 20 tests, no card needed.

50 tokens a test, and tokens never expire. No subscription, nothing wasted.

ATS/ERS 2019-aligned acceptability and repeatability on every manoeuvre.

Children blow harder when it's a game. SpiroWright turns the forced-expiratory manoeuvre into animated incentive scenes - so young patients give a real maximal effort and the manoeuvre reaches ATS/ERS acceptability.

SpiroWright is clinical spirometry software for Windows 10/11 (x64) from Advanced Medical Engineering (AME), Cape Town. It runs on the AME / IQTeQ pressure-pneumotach USB sensor (HEXAR Core) and delivers flow-volume and volume-time curves, FEV1 / FVC / PEF / FEF25-75, ATS/ERS 2019 acceptability and repeatability grading, GLI-2012 and GLI Global 2022 z-scores, BTPS correction and multi-page HTML / PDF / PNG / CSV reports.
The download is free. Every verified account starts with 1000 free tokens (about 20 tests at 50 tokens per test) and tokens never expire. After that you pay per test through encrypted PayFast checkout in rands - no subscription. For HEXAR Core sensor pricing, email [email protected].
Yes. SpiroWright applies the ATS/ERS 2019 acceptability and repeatability criteria to every effort, grades the session, records 3-litre syringe and motor calibration, and the sensor accuracy is verified against ISO 26782. Reports show the flow-volume loop, z-score bars and the acceptability matrix.
GLI-2012 (LMS) and the race-neutral GLI Global 2022 equations, reported as z-scores, lower limit of normal (LLN) and percent-predicted, with the reference-equation source cited on the report.
It is built for South African occupational-health practice: periodic medical-surveillance testing, pre/post-bronchodilator and patient-history comparison, HIV / TB / pack-year patient fields, SAMA procedure codes and ICD-10 suggestions, practice-branded QR-verified reports and CSV export for your records.
No - it is offline-first and load-shedding-aware: tests, reports and patient data work locally on your PC. Internet is only needed to sign up, verify your email, buy tokens and receive updates.
Yes. SpiroWright runs on existing AME / IQTeQ sensors on any Windows PC - no new device is required. It adds AI-assisted interpretation (obstructive / restrictive / mixed patterns, severity, GOLD staging, lung-age estimate), ATS/ERS-graded reporting and modern analytics to hardware you already own.
